Any Baby Can Butterfly Tribute: The kind thing that the San Antonio-based group Any Baby Can do comes as a rite where butterflies are released to honour the memories of children who have died. The group has planned this critical event, which is the main part of their yearly celebration, for October 14 at 10 a.m. at 217 Howard Street.
At the heart of Any Baby Can’s sensitive work is a grief and loss program that was carefully designed to help families through the complicated parts of life after the death of a child. This program is run by Desiree Holmes, who is the director of grief and loss services. Her commitment goes above and beyond what is expected of a support worker. Help with the funeral, grief support, the provision of urns and caskets, bereavement support, priceless therapy services, and a wealth of references tailored to the specific needs of grieving families are all part of the full range of services offered.
Holmes says of the services they provide, “We offer funeral help, and support for people who have lost a loved one.” We also offer therapy and help with finding family members.
Between July 2022 and June 2023, Any Baby Can’s unwavering support touched almost 400 families, showing how much they can help communities get through hard times. In one touching story, the Garza family lost their two girls in a terrible accident. Any Baby Can’s unwavering support brought them comfort, understanding, and help.

Alicia Garza, the strong mother, talks about what happened: “One was stillborn, and that’s what caused a lot of problems for the other one because they were sharing the placenta.” The Garza family was able to get through their hard time with the help of Any Baby Can, even though their loss was complicated.
I want to tell other parents to pay attention to their hearts. The love your child shows you will show you the way. Garza screams with rage, “These people are amazing!” This organization, Any Baby Can, has made a huge difference in the lives of families who have lost a loved one.
