Vestavia Hills Embraces 5G Future with Small Cell: In a unanimous decision, the Vestavia Hills City Council gave the green light for the construction of small-cell 5G network towers along Massey Road and neighboring areas, aligning with the federal government’s plan to expand 5G wireless internet services nationwide. Despite some opposition, the 30-foot towers will be strategically placed on public rights of way, including spots in front of private homes.
