However, there is a growing awareness of the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on various job sectors, requiring individuals to stay informed and adaptable.
Wright highlighted concerns among computer science students about generative AI and Chat GPT, emphasizing the need for all knowledge workers to understand how automation and AI are shaping the job landscape. He mentioned that 70% of UAB graduates typically find a job, pursue further education, volunteer, or join the military within six months. Additionally, the rise of social media has opened new entrepreneurial opportunities for students, allowing them to turn their skills into businesses generating economic value.
