Governors

Alabama has had numerous governors throughout its history. Here is a list of the most recent governors up to my last knowledge update:

Kay Ivey: She assumed office on April 10, 2017, after the resignation of Governor Robert Bentley. She was elected to a full term in 2018. As of my last update, she continues to serve as Alabama’s governor.
Robert Bentley: He served as the governor from 2011 until his resignation in 2017 amid controversy.
Robert J. Riley Jr.: Serving from 2003 to 2011, he succeeded Bob Riley and focused on various policy initiatives during his tenure.
Bob Riley: He served two terms as governor from 2003 to 2011, focusing on education reform and economic development.

These are the recent governors of Alabama, each having contributed to the state’s governance, policy, and development during their respective tenures.
