Cullman Breaks Ground on Omniplex Sports: Cullman celebrated the groundbreaking of the Omniplex Sports and Civic Center on November 9, marking a significant development in the expanding Sports and Events District. Here are the key details about this exciting project.

About the new Omniplex Sports and Civic Center

The upcoming Omniplex Sports and Civic Center in Cullman is set to be a massive, versatile facility situated on a 140-acre property within the burgeoning Cullman Sports and Events district. Upon completion, the center will boast the following features:

– 115,000 square-foot facility
– 10 tournament basketball courts
– 19 volleyball courts
– 5 soccer fields
– 6 indoor pickleball courts
– Indoor aquatic center
– Space for recreational events
– Catering kitchen
– Breakout meeting rooms
– Gymnasium with a capacity for 6,500 people (suitable for concerts, expos, conventions, sporting events, and more)

The project is anticipated to be finished by late January 2025.

– 6 multifunctional recreational facilities
– 2 golf courses
– Disc golf course
– RV Resort
– Farmer’s market
– WildWater Water Park

The collaborative efforts of the City of Cullman, Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department, CCR Architecture, and Jim Cooper Construction Company were celebrated on November 9 with the groundbreaking ceremony for this exciting new development in Cullman’s recreational offerings.
