82nd Annual Magic City Classic Parade: The highly anticipated 82nd edition of the Magic City Classic is finally upon us. At 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs will clash with the Alabama State University Hornets in their historic gridiron rivalry at Birminghams Legion Field.
Kicking off the festivities at 8:00 a.m., the Magic City Classic parade will wind its way through the streets of downtown Birmingham, featuring the spirited performances of bands and dance teams from both Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University. The parade will also showcase over 20 high school marching bands from across Alabama, along with representatives from the city of Birmingham.
Leading the parade will be Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin aboard the renowned McDonalds float.
During the Magic City Classic press conference on Oct. 25, Perren King, the executive director of the Magic City Classic, highlighted the parade’s popularity as a source of pride for the event.
The McDonalds Magic City Classic parade is consumed in some way, shape, or form by nearly a quarter of a million people, stated King. You talk about 100,000 in person, 70,000 that were picking up on the Facebook, Meta screen. And another 70,000 that are able to see it live on TV. This is an amazing event that we have.

For those unable to attend the parade in downtown Birmingham, worry not. The parade will be broadcast LIVE on WBRC 6 in Birmingham and Gray Television affiliates in Huntsville, Montgomery, Dothan, and Mobile.
