Stimulus 2023 Distribution Schedule: for October Payments in Alabama and Washington

Stimulus 2023 Distribution Schedule: Several states are still providing aid due to the consistently unstable economy and other financially taxing circumstances, even three years after the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) was enacted. Here are eight states offering support:

Georgia

Residents in Georgia who haven’t filed their state’s income tax returns for 2021 and 2022 should do so now. The IRS granted an extension until October 16, 2023, making them eligible for a possible one-time tax credit. Eligibility criteria include having had a tax liability for 2021, and refunds vary based on income and taxes paid.

 New Mexico

The Economic Relief Payments distributed by the Human Services Department in New Mexico started on July 26, 2023, providing $500 for individuals and $1,000 for households meeting the “very low income” criteria.

 Washington State

Employees in Washington may be eligible for up to $1,200 in tax credits as part of the Washington Working Families Tax Credit. Low-income citizens employed in the state in 2022 can apply online by December 31, 2023.

 Alabama

In November, Alabama will offer a one-time tax refund – $300 for married couples and $150 for single taxpayers. To qualify, individuals must have submitted their 2021 taxes by October 17, 2022.

 Illinois

Residents of Illinois can collect up to $5,000 in unclaimed property checks. Over 66,000 people may have access to these assets, with the state treasurer’s office sending letters for claiming funds.
