Unfortunately, on June 13, the property was swiftly demolished by a city-hired crew. KSAT obtained pictures depicting the unfortunate incident.
A door hanger on a fence said the building would be torn down soon. The family’s only sign of impending loss was a single paper. They only noticed it when the house was torn down before them.
As the building crumbled, the clock flickered. The ticking was louder as the scary story was about danger. Michael Shannon, head of San Antonio’s Development Services Department, emphasized the need for swift action in hazardous situations.
Safety was paramount, requiring a prompt response. Shannon mentioned the city’s ongoing efforts to ensure neighborhood safety but acknowledged potential misunderstandings during crises.
