Rep Matt Simpson Expresses Gratitude: During this Thanksgiving and Christmas season, Representative Matt Simpson expresses gratitude for various accomplishments and positive developments in Baldwin County, Alabama. He highlights:

The achievements of the Baldwin County Legislative Delegation in passing legislation that benefits the state and county. The contributions of three new freshman House members in passing significant legislation that addresses social work, child welfare, and agriculture.

The collaborative efforts of Team Baldwin County, including municipal, county, legislative, and stakeholder cooperation, leading to economic investments and job creation.  Regional partnerships that enhance cooperation between Coastal Alabama counties, resulting in increased funding for the Port of Alabama and tourism incentives.

The leadership provided by new officers in the Alabama State House, including Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter, Majority Leader Scott Stadthagen, and Speaker Pro Tem Chris Pringle. The ongoing dedication and bravery of law enforcement officers and first responders.

Bipartisan efforts that led to meaningful tax cuts in Alabama, including the repeal of the overtime tax, a reduction in the grocery tax, and tax rebates for taxpayers. Streamlined adoption processes to facilitate easier adoptions and the creation of families.

Legislative actions to combat the presence of the deadly drug fentanyl, including mandatory jail time for traffickers and increased protection for law enforcement officers.
