Panama City Beach Scores a Hole-in-One with Approval: Just shy of a month after Mobile celebrated the grand opening of its Topgolf haven, Panama City is gearing up for its own swing into the spotlight. The announcement of a Topgolf facility in Panama City, slated to open in 2025, has garnered unanimous approval from the city council. The estimated cost for this new recreational haven is around $26 million, and it will find its home in the Pier Park area of Panama City.

Panama City Beach is set to become the proud owner of the 10th Topgolf venue in Florida. Mayor Mark Sheldon expressed his excitement, emphasizing the recognition of Panama City Beach as a gem in the Panhandle. The unanimous approval of the city council showcases the widespread enthusiasm for the project. The $26 million facility, modeled after the recent Mobile addition, is not only an investment in entertainment but also includes plans for a miniature golf course.

Mayor Sheldon proudly declared, “We live in paradise. We are the gem of the Panhandle. We continue to say what Panama City Beach is. We continue to tell our story. And now you can tell, by people spending millions of dollars investing in Panama City Beach, they see it. They understand it. They want to be part of this as well.”

With the success of Topgolf in Mobile, which cost $22 million to construct, featuring two decks with 60 swing bays, an indoor-outdoor bar, and a restaurant area, Panama City Beach is eager to follow suit.

Following in the footsteps of Mobile, which joined the Topgolf ranks alongside Huntsville and Birmingham, Panama City is poised to swing into the future with this upcoming recreational gem.
