Oxford High Quarterback Mason Mims Prepares: for Louisville Visit After Securing Scholarship

Oxford High Quarterback Mason Mims Prepares: Just a month after securing a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville, Mason Mims, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback from Oxford, Ala., High School, is set to return to L&N Stadium this weekend.

Confirming his visit to Cardinal Authority, Mims, a three-star prospect in the Class of 2025, expressed his excitement about being present for the regular-season finale against Kentucky. Previously in town for the Notre Dame game in October, Mims received the offer from offensive coordinator Brian Brohm, who praised his accurate passing and decision-making skills.

“The atmosphere at the Cardinals’ game against Notre Dame was amazing,” Mims shared. “They played very clean football, and the place was rocking.”

Mims, who also holds offers from Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, Troy, UAB, Vanderbilt, and West Virginia, has been making waves with impressive stats this season—completing 113 of 161 passes for 1,526 yards and 17 touchdowns with just two interceptions in seven games.

His head coach at Oxford, Sam Adams, a former Louisville graduate assistant, and offensive coordinator, adds a connection to the Cardinals’ coaching history. In recruiting visits, Mims has showcased his skills to various schools, including Mississippi State, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and Georgia Tech.

Ranked as the No. 477 prospect in the ’25 class overall, and the No. 34 quarterback and No. 21 player in Alabama, Mims continues to draw attention from college football programs, positioning himself as a rising prospect to watch.
