Kansas State Thrilling Overtime Victory: In a thrilling overtime clash, senior Tylor Perry’s clutch step-back 3-pointer with 3.9 seconds left secured a 72-71 victory for Kansas State over Villanova in the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle. The game, witnessed by 10,140 fans at Bramlage Coliseum, showcased Perry’s ability to shine in critical moments.

This marks Perry’s second consecutive game-changing performance, following his similar step-back triple that forced overtime against North Alabama. Perry has now made seven shots in his Division I career to either win a game or send it into overtime, dating back to his days at North Texas.

Kansas State (7-2) displayed resilience, playing in its third consecutive overtime game for the first time in nearly 60 years. The Wildcats secured their third straight overtime victory, joining the achievement of the 1964 Final Four team. Head coach Jerome Tang‘s team maintains a perfect 9-0 record in overtime games, including 4-0 this season.

The dramatic win over Villanova (6-4) marked a significant achievement for K-State in the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle, breaking a streak of three previous losses. Noteworthy performances included junior Arthur Kaluma’s impressive 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting, along with 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Junior Cam Carter contributed 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Perry added 10 points and led with 6 assists.
