Justice Seeker Armando Rodriguez: A Father Quest for Answers

Justice Seeker Armando Rodriguez: Armando Rodriguez seeks justice for his late son, Robert Fluellen, who tragically passed away in November 2020. The Helotes Police Department labelled it a “criminally negligent homicide case,” leading to a challenging court process.

Rodriguez, a grieving father, advocated for Robert’s justice. He was the only one who did. In 2021, he faced a setback when the DA’s office said the suspect couldn’t be charged despite his years-long search for answers. They couldn’t prove something “beyond a reasonable doubt” due to insufficient evidence.

Rodriguez repeatedly asked the district attorney’s office to reexamine his son’s case in the hopes that a fresh investigator could uncover new evidence. Despite his strong argument, the district attorney seemed indifferent.

On September 11, at the District 4 Town Hall meeting, Rodriguez confronted DA Joe Gonzales. Despite promised quick answers, Rodriguez was understandably upset when they were not provided.

Due to the complexity of the case, the district attorney’s office emphasized the need to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, considering the limited evidence. Rodriguez supports his son but seeks more information and an unbiased court review.

The need for more proof, three key witnesses, and the gun test reports are essential problems. These puzzle pieces could help Rodriguez get justice in the end.

In the fight for justice, the district attorney’s office reiterates its commitment to assisting victims and survivors navigate the judicial system and find closure through services. Armando Rodriguez is determined to get justice for his kid despite the uncertainty.
