DeSantis GOP Strategy: Memo Reveals DeSantis Approach for Presidential Primaries

DeSantis GOP Strategy: An intriguing memo shared online exposes Governor Ron DeSantis’ unconventional Republican presidential primary strategy. A GOP consulting firm with DeSantis super PAC links posted the letter. It advises DeSantis to defend Trump strategically.

Although most campaign preparations are private, DeSantis has depended heavily on the Never Back Down super PAC. These PACs can’t contact candidates due to federal election laws. They talk through sharing information with the public.

The senior Never Back Down strategist owns Axiom Strategies, which posted the DeSantis debate document. The NYT found the memo. The Times shared a copy of the note online before it was removed.

The letter contains four crucial debate guidelines for DeSantis:

First, criticize Joe Biden and the media three to five times. Three times, explain DeSantis’s good ideas. Respond confidently to Vivek Ramaswamy. Christie will beg you to defend Trump. The note reveals how difficult DeSantis’ management is. He wants to oppose the former president while retaining Trump’s supporters. DeSantis has criticized Trump but has always supported him when accused of breaching the law.

The message advises to support Trump without him: Trump isn’t here, so leave him alone. Not powerful enough to defend himself… I don’t think we want to work with someone onstage trying out for MSNBC “, referring to the liberal cable news program.

The document also describes Vivek Ramaswamy, a poll-performing entrepreneur, as a threat. It advises Ramaswamy to call him “Fake Vivek” or “Vivek the Fake.”

The research also suggests that DeSantis tell a personal tale about his family, children, or Casey to demonstrate his feelings. This could be an attempt to answer voters’ concerns that DeSantis seems cold and unapproachable, which implies he needs to connect with them emotionally.

Some of DeSantis’ opponents doubt the information. Ramaswamy’s campaign responded that DeSantis’s automatic insults don’t cover up self-reflection and connection. Chris Christie’s super PAC advised DeSantis to be honest in their letter.

Milwaukee will host the first primary discussion on Wednesday at 8 p.m. DeSantis has great potential to use these strategies and strengthen his Republican lead.
