Crystal Keen Ties to US Capitol Uprising: NEISD Council Meeting Raises Questions

Crystal Keen Ties to US Capitol Uprising: The NEISD School Health Advisory Council met for the first time this school year. This group, chosen by the district’s board of trustees, assists with various tasks. These include promoting children’s mental health and educating them about nutrition and sexuality.

Crystal Keen stood out at the meeting. The public has seen this nurse before, per public records. She used to be a realtor. Interestingly, she is married to Matthew Mazzocco, linked to the January 6th uprising in the U.S. Capitol.

FBI officers visited the couple’s home in Stone Oak after Mazzocco posted a selfie at U.S. Capitol the with the misspelled message “The capital is ours!” on social media. It’s logical for the government to investigate these matters. Mazzocco admitted to protesting inside the Capitol. The other charges were dropped due to this.

Mazzocco’s social media history was fascinating, showing him calm in a chaotic world. Despite knowing the consequences, he warned against vandalism and theft. Though he didn’t damage anything, he was part of the crowd that breached the Capitol’s defenses.

People on social media and in a youth sports league helped catch him, but the federal government still charged him. He was charged with trespassing on private property, breaking into the Capitol, and acting out on Capitol property.
