Post-retirement, Butterbean returned to Jasper, his hometown, becoming a Deputy with the Walker County Sheriff’s Department, featured in a reality show on Investigation Discovery. He later opened Mr. Beans BBQ & Steakhouse and made headlines for shedding 200 pounds through a yoga program last year.
