The Bulldogs, led by Jacolby Hewitt’s 115-yard receiving feat, outpaced the Delta Devils 435-268. With a commanding 27-7 lead, Alabama A&M faced a resilient Mississippi Valley State, but a crucial field goal and defensive prowess secured the win.
Eaglin’s early 17-yard run set the tone, and a subsequent drive, culminating in Quincy Casey’s 14-yard pass to Cameron Young, extended the lead to 14-0. A 67-yard sprint by Eaglin widened the gap to 27-7.
Ty’Jarian Williams showcased skill for Mississippi Valley State, but the Bulldog defense, highlighted by a strip-sack and recovery in the end zone, bolstered Alabama A&M to a 21-7 advantage.
The second half saw Eaglin’s explosive 67-yard run, maintaining the Bulldogs’ dominance at 27-7. Despite Mississippi Valley State’s comeback attempts, including Williams’ 62-yard touchdown strike to Jaxson Davis, Alabama A&M held on for a 30-21 win.
A late interception by Emari Pait sealed the deal, guiding the Bulldogs to their fifth victory of the season. The series lead now stands at 25-10 in favor of Alabama A&M.
