This performance adds to Harding’s early impact, boasting 14 assists in 26 regular-season minutes with the Hawkeyes.
From the moment Harding entered the game, his influence was evident. Securing a steal on his first defensive possession, he swiftly followed it up with a floater in the lane. Harding’s defensive prowess continued with another steal, leading to a fast-break layup by second-year guard Josh Dix off Harding’s assist. Setting up grad forward Ben Krikke for consecutive and-one layups, Harding contributed to a 10-5 run in his initial three minutes on the court.
The second half saw Harding’s playmaking abilities shine. Checking into the game midway through, he wasted no time in scoring with a pull-up three in transition. A highlight of the game was an alley-oop assist to first-year forward Owen Freeman, showcasing Harding’s vision and execution. The point guard continued to impress with three no-look assists for wide-open dunks and layups by his teammates.
