Back Forty Beer Co Pours into Huntsville: Craft Beer and Artistic Vibes Await

Back Forty Beer Co Pours into Huntsville: Back Forty Beer Co., a successful brewery known for its craft beers like “Truck Stop Honey” and “Peanut Butter Porter,” is expanding to Huntsville, Alabama. The new location at the corner of Leeman Ferry Road & Airport Road will mark the brewery’s second establishment.

Douglas Brown, Owner & CEO of Back Forty Birmingham, shared that they had considered Huntsville before choosing Birmingham initially. Now, with the success of their first location, it felt natural to come back to Huntsville for their second venture.

While beer will undoubtedly be a significant part of the operation, Back Forty is also renowned for its food offerings. Brown envisions an elevated pub food experience, encouraging their team to create like artists.

The brewery boasts a large indoor taproom with ample seating and bar space. Plans are in place to make the most of the outdoor space as well. Back Forty aims to provide an immersive on-premises experience, differentiating itself from other breweries that faced challenges in the area.

One notable feature of the new brewery is a large-scale mural being painted on the side. Mural artist Shane Boteler of Mammoth Murals in Birmingham is working on a Rocket City-inspired spray-painted mural, adding a unique and artistic touch to the establishment.

The anticipated opening of Back Forty’s Huntsville location is set for mid-to-late December of this year, offering both beer enthusiasts and food connoisseurs a new and exciting destination in the city.
