American Airlines pilots: American’s 15,000 pilots’ union, the Allied Pilots Association, informed the board of directors of a new tentative accord.
The Allied Pilots Association claims this pact includes a 21% pensionable ratification bonus from January to July. Members will vote on the new contract at a special board meeting. Members delayed voting on the previous contract arrangement until a new accord fulfilled United’s standards.
The pilots’ union wrote to them, “We worked hard with our management counterparts to meet that deadline.”
The plan “includes the changes to the current TA that the parties talked about last week, as well as other changes.” Some of the new contract proposals require United deal ratification.
This includes pilot pay rates matching United and Delta, pay raises shifting from May 2 to January 1 of each year of the pact, and other modifications.
