Alabama Scouts Unite Against Hunger: Scouting for Food Event Enters 13th Year of Community Service

Alabama Scouts Unite Against Hunger: MOBILE, Ala. The folks at Mobile Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, have joined forces with Feeding the Gulf Coast for the 13th year straight, uniting against hunger in the annual Scouting for Food event.

Scouts hit the streets, leaving grocery bags in neighborhoods across Mobile, Baldwin, Clarke, and Washington counties on Saturday, Oct. 28, calling for non-perishable food donations. This Saturday, Nov. 4, the scouts will swing by to gather the donations and drop them off at select Greer’s locations.

These generous contributions will find their way to Feeding the Gulf Coast, reaching families in need.

“The Mobile Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, takes immense pleasure in supporting the community and giving back,” shared Scout Executive and CEO of the Mobile Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, William Bryant, Jr. “Guided by the Scout Law to help others at all times, our scouts embody this spirit through events like Scouting for Food and various other service activities.”

Didn’t get a visit from the scouts but still want to contribute? No worries—drop off your non-perishable food items at any participating Greer’s location. Let’s unite to fight hunger in our community!
