Alabama Javion Cohen and South Carolina: Spencer Rattler to Showcase Skills at 2024 Senior Bowl

Alabama Javion Cohen and South Carolina: Miami offensive lineman Javion Cohen, a former standout at Alabama, and South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler have accepted invitations to showcase their talents at the prestigious 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Standing at an impressive 6-foot-4 and weighing 305 pounds, Cohen has been a key player for the Hurricanes, starting in 10 out of 11 games at left guard. Hailing from Central-Phenix City, he made a name for himself at Alabama, earning second-team All-SEC honors in his final year before making the move through the transfer portal.

Rattler, a formidable 6-1 and 217 pounds, boasts an impressive season, passing for 3,074 yards and securing 19 touchdowns. Originating his career at Oklahoma, he joined the Gamecocks in 2022, making him the second confirmed quarterback for the 2024 Senior Bowl, alongside Tulane’s Michael Pratt.

Cohen’s commitment adds to the in-state talent for the Senior Bowl, following Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, a standout from Spanish Fort High School, who accepted his invitation earlier on the same day.

The 75th-anniversary Senior Bowl is scheduled for February 3 at Mobile’s Hancock Whitney Stadium. Notably, the 2024 edition will allow non-graduate underclassmen to participate for the first time, adding an exciting dimension to the annual all-star game and NFL draft showcase.

Several outstanding players have already committed to the Senior Bowl, including Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, Florida State tight end Jaheim Bell, Kansas State offensive lineman Cooper Beebe, and Texas defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat. More announcements about committed players will be made in the days leading up to Senior Bowl week.

The 2024 Senior Bowl, sponsored by the NFL Players Association for the first time, will kick off at noon on Feb. 3, with the NFL Network broadcasting the game live.
