Ja Corey Brooks Finds a New Gridiron Home: Commits to Louisville Cardinals

Ja Corey Brooks Finds a New Gridiron Home: Ja’Corey Brooks, one of Alabama football’s transfers, has chosen his new gridiron home—Louisville. The wide receiver made the commitment official, sharing the news on social media alongside snapshots of him donning the Cardinals uniform. Brooks had entered the transfer portal on December 7, bidding farewell to the Crimson Tide.

Expressing his gratitude for the Alabama program, Brooks thanked everyone involved for the memories, friendships, and life lessons. Despite a more limited role and injury challenges in his final season, he had a standout 2022, amassing 39 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns.

Standing at 6 feet 2 inches, Brooks was a pivotal part of Alabama’s 2021 receiving class, arriving as a five-star recruit from IMG Academy in Florida. The move to Louisville aligns him with a team that experienced notable improvement in Jeff Brohm’s inaugural season as head coach, currently boasting a 10-3 record.

While Louisville recently faced a setback in the ACC championship against Florida State, they are set to face Southern Cal in the Holiday Bowl to conclude the season. Meanwhile, Brooks’ former Alabama teammates are gearing up for a Rose Bowl clash against No. 1 Michigan in the College Football Playoff semifinals on January 1.
