Auburn Gymnastics Shines in Neville Arena: Getting a sneak peek into the upcoming 2024 season, the No. 17 Auburn gymnastics team showcased their skills at the annual Preview Meet in Neville Arena. Head coach Jeff Graba expressed satisfaction with the team’s energy, focus, and overall performance.

The lineup featured a mix of seasoned veterans and newcomers, with seven student-athletes making their Neville Arena debut, including five freshmen. Grad students Cassie Stevens and Aria Brusch, along with seniors Gabby McLaughlin and Olivia Hollingsworth, and junior Sophia Groth, delivered standout routines.

Noteworthy performances came from Hollingsworth, who anchored Team Blue on vault with a Yurchenko 1.5 and on floor and bars. Stevens showcased her skills on beam, vault, and floor for Team Orange. Groth’s clean routines and strong landings added to the team’s success, while McLaughlin stunned with her routine on beam.

The Preview Meet also introduced the future of Auburn gymnastics, featuring freshmen and transfers. Julianne Huff, a Hoover, Alabama native, impressed in the all-around, while Bryn Bartman and Paige Zancan made notable contributions.

Freshman Huff reflected on the experience, emphasizing clean routines and a basic mindset for consistency. Sophomore Hannah Hagle commended the newcomers, anticipating their contributions in the upcoming season.

Auburn’s gymnastics journey for 2024 begins on the road in Las Vegas for the Super 16 Challenge on January 6 at Orleans Arena. Further details about time and opponents will be announced soon.
