PJ Coffee Expands Alabama with New Location: PJs Coffee of New Orleans is making moves in Alabama, expanding its presence with a new location in the Huntsville metro area.
The franchise is set to launch a 2,499-square-foot stand-alone building with a drive-thru at 1801 U.S. 72 East near Chase Industrial Park. While the opening date is yet to be confirmed, the anticipation is building.
Back in 2021, the company revealed ambitious plans to introduce 28 additional coffeehouses across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi within the next three years.
Originating in 1978 in New Orleans, PJs Coffee has become synonymous with a diverse beverage and food menu, featuring seasonal flavors and delightful beignets.
Handling the real estate dealings, Cooper Smith from SRS Real Estate Partners’ Birmingham office took on the role of representing the landlord, HN Capital. On the other side, Ashley Farrel with NAI Chase Commercial and Colin Cannon with ResoluteRE played pivotal roles in representing the tenant, PJs Coffee.
Smith, the vice president at SRS, expressed enthusiasm about PJs Coffee being a fantastic addition to the Highway 72 East corridor, filling a gap for a genuine coffee drive-thru.
He acknowledged the growth in retail in this corridor, attributed to the daytime population of Chase Industrial Park and the emergence of new residential and multi-family developments. Smith extended appreciation to Ashley and Colin for their efforts in bringing the flavors of New Orleans to their site.
