Alabama Seeks Redemption Against Oregon: in Emerald Coast Classic

Alabama Seeks Redemption Against Oregon: After a surprising upset by Ohio State, No. 17 Alabama finds itself playing for third place in the Emerald Coast Classic, facing Oregon on Saturday. The Crimson Tide, known for their high-scoring offense and sharp 3-point shooting, fell short in a 92-81 defeat by Ohio State.

Alabama entered the tournament leading the nation in scoring and 3-point shooting but struggled, making just 30% from beyond the arc against Ohio State. Grant Nelson led the Crimson Tide with 20 points, but their defense, a concern for coach Nate Oats, allowed 38 points in the first half.

Oregon, facing a short-handed lineup without key players Nate Bittle and N’Faly Dante, lost 88-82 to Santa Clara. Despite a late surge, the Ducks couldn’t overcome the deficit. With Bittle recovering from wrist surgery and Dante out for at least four weeks after knee surgery, Oregon faces challenges in the frontcourt.

This matchup marks Alabama’s first game outside Tuscaloosa this season, while Oregon has played just twice at home. The teams have met four times before, with Oregon winning three straight encounters. Alabama looks to bounce back and secure third place in the tournament, while Oregon aims to overcome roster challenges and claim victory.
