Pending approval from the Alabama Pharmacy Board, the OnMed booth will also have the capability to dispense prescription medications, further enhancing its impact on rural health care accessibility.
Auburn University has already implemented the primary OnMed site at the Chambers County Wellness Center, operational since February 2023. The plan includes placing four additional booths in rural communities that meet specific criteria.
