Kenneth Chenoweth Selected as Technical Director: The Redstone Test Center (RTC) has named Kenneth Chenoweth as its new technical director and deputy commander. With nearly 27 years of experience in lifecycle test and evaluation, Chenoweth assumes this senior civilian position at the center.

Chenoweth’s journey with RTC began in 1997 as a government contractor engineering technician while pursuing his engineering degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In 2002, he transitioned to an Army civilian role, progressing as a mechanical engineer. Since March 2021, Chenoweth has served as the director of RTC’s Missile and Sensors Test Directorate.

His extensive career with RTC has seen him in various key roles, including team lead, senior test manager, and logistics and sustainment account manager. Chenoweth played a vital role in the reorganization of the Missile and Sensors Test Directorate in 2015 and later assumed leadership positions in the Climatic Test Division and the Instrumentation Development Division.

Chenoweth holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (2002) and a master’s in management from the Florida Institute of Technology (2011). He is an Acquisition Corps member with a level III certification in the test and evaluation career field. Chenoweth has received several awards, including the Meritorious Civilian Service Award and two Commander’s Awards for Civilian Service.

Outside of work, Chenoweth enjoys working on mechanical projects, particularly automotive work, in his shop during his free time. He also shares his passion for travel with his wife, Whitney, whom he has been married to since 2000.
