New Gulf Shores Resort on the Horizon: Embassy Suites to Grace Beachfront by 2025

New Gulf Shores Resort on the Horizon: A brand-new, 257-suite resort is set to grace the Gulf Shores beach by summer 2025.

Embassy Suites Gulf Shores, an eight-story, full-service haven overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, is in the works, thanks to the collaboration between DD Partners of Birmingham, Peachtree Group of Atlanta, Ga., and Woodbine Development Corporation of Dallas.

Once constructed by the skilled hands of contractor Robins & Morton, the resort will boast 257 beachfront suites, a welcoming lobby bar, a rooftop terrace with a bar and grille, and a pool deck with outdoor entertainment.

The resort’s plans also include 13,620 square feet of meeting and reception space, featuring a grand 7,800-square-foot ballroom. A three-story parking garage and over 7,600 square feet of retail space, housing a Starbucks, are also on the horizon.

Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft expressed excitement about the groundbreaking of Embassy Suites, envisioning it as a transformative project aligned with Vision 2025. He anticipates that this high-end, full-service hotel, with substantial conference space in the heart of the beach district, will enhance shoulder seasons, support local businesses year-round, and spur higher-quality redevelopment.

Embassy Suites Gulf Shores will find its home near the venue of the annual Hangout Music Festival, the National Shrimp Festival, and the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships. It will also neighbor Gulf Shores’ $15 million beachfront revitalization project, completed in 2018.
