The Farm-City Tour, hosted by Cullman Farm-City, is rolling out on Nov. 1, starting from the Cullman County Extension Office. So, grab your comfiest shoes and get ready to explore some of Cullman’s finest farms, soaking in the beauty and discovering their impact on the community.
Now, let me tell you, Alabama Farm-City has set the theme for 2023 as Agritourism: Connecting Alabama Farms and Communities. Agritourism is all about turning a farm into a real attraction, inviting folks from the public to come on down and experience the farm life. Picture this: local pumpkin patches, you-pick berry farms, and sunflower fields open to everyone in the fall that’s agritourism right in the heart of Cullman. And guess what? The tour is taking you on a journey through the southeast corner of Cullman, giving you a sneak peek into the world of local agritourism gems like Graveman Farm, 4D Farms, Hillcrest Farms, and the Berlin Farmers Market.
Kira Sims from the Cullman County Extension Office is buzzing with excitement. “We’re thrilled to showcase Michael Gravemans farm, the Farm Family winner from 2021,” she said. And that’s not all the tour’s making a stop at Ashley Wilson and Curts Closet, winners of the 2022 Family City award.
