7th Annual One Table Event: In the heart of Florence, Alabama, the much-anticipated 7th annual One Table event is making a comeback on November 2nd, gracing downtown with its communal charm.
This yearly tradition brings the community together for a free meal, served along a single, lengthy table. Jills Sweet Memories in Florence will cater the event, ensuring a delightful culinary experience for all.
No need for registration or opening walletsthis event is open to all who wish to partake in good food and company.
Chelsea Wassner, the event coordinator, shared that the inspiration for One Table came from another city, and the team believed it would be a splendid addition to the Renaissance City. Beyond the feast, attending the event serves as an opportunity to build connections with strangers.
“Our goal is for people to sit with others they might never have shared a table with,” Wassner expressed. “Year after year, we witness individuals forming new friendships and engaging in conversations that they wouldn’t have had just by proximitytruly an incredible experience.”
With high expectations for a significant turnout, Wassner invites the Shoals community to join in the festivities. One Table will unfold at the Plaza in downtown Florence, welcoming all from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
