QB Dak Prescott emphasized the need to stay focused and grounded throughout the season despite it being the first game. The Cowboys proved their superiority by making three mistakes and sacking Daniel Jones seven times. It made the Giants’ offense useless.

This win was historic for the Cowboys. It beat their previous record of 35-0, set against the Giants in 1995, also in the season’s first game. It was the biggest win in Cowboys history, even more significant than their 38-0 win over the Baltimore Colts in 1978.
