Kim Sejeong First Solo Album: Kim Sejeong, a famous South Korean artist, released her debut studio album “Door.” This is her first new music in 2 years. The 11-track album was released as Sejeong excels in music and acting, earning acclaim for her roles in popular shows like Netflix’s “Business Proposal” and “The Uncanny Counter.”
The record is a big step for the 27-year-old musician, known from the 2016 reality show “Produce 101.” Sejeong said, “I’m grateful for the chance to showcase my singing abilities and perform once more.” The record explores various styles, from soft pop to smooth R&B. At the 2022 S.B.S. Drama Awards, she won the top excellence award for a comedy/romance miniseries actor.
Her past achievements include being the runner-up on “Produce 101,” which led to her joining the girl group I.O.I. in 2016. A year later, the group disbanded, but Sejeong had already gained fame. She said her time on the reality show taught her the importance of honesty and the effort required to succeed in this industry.
Sejeong has released two EPs solo. Both reached the top 20 on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart. “Door” aims to boost her music career by showcasing her songwriting and performing skills.
