SpaceX Crew-7 Mission: The SpaceX Crew-7 mission was the first time a non-NASA astronaut piloted a Dragon spacecraft. Three partners will be sent to the Space Station for this mission.

Jasmin Moghbeli:
NASA pilot Jasmin Moghbeli’s first space mission will be significant. Moghbeli, a New York native and 2017 NASA astronaut, has an impressive education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from MIT and a master’s from the Naval Postgraduate School. Moghbeli was a test and helicopter pilot for the Marine Corps. He participated in over 150 military missions and logged 2,000 flight hours across 25 plane types. She completed the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School in Patuxent River, Maryland, and earned a degree there. Moghbeli will lead the journey. He’ll oversee every step, from launch to landing. She’ll be a flight engineer on the station for Expedition 69/70.
Andreas Mogensen:
Mogensen will join Crew-7 as the ESA pilot. He’ll oversee the spacecraft’s equipment and performance. 2015, he became the first Dane in space, spending ten days at the space station. Mogensen is from Copenhagen. He studied aeronautical engineering at Imperial College London and got a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. During missions 17 and 19, he worked for NASA’s EEMO. Mogensen was the European astronaut relations officer at NASA’s Johnson Space Center from 2016 to 2022.

Satoshi Furukawa:
Satoshi Furukawa’s Second trip to space. In 2011, he joined Expeditions 28 and 29 on the space station. Furukawa is a JAXA astronaut. He has a strong medical background and earned his medical degree and doctorate in medical science from the University of Tokyo. He has been on the 13th NEEMO mission and is in charge of JAXA’s Space Biomedical Research Group.
Konstantin Borisov:
Crew-7 mission, Borisov’s first trip to space. Since 2018, he’s been a Roscosmos Cosmonaut Corps member. As a mission specialist, he will closely monitor the spaceship during the launch and entry phases. Borisov will also be a flight engineer during Expedition 69/70.
