Filming Begins in Mobile: Stephen King fans are in for a treat, especially if you’re in Mobile, as a recent WKRG report unveiled that a new film based on King’s short story, The Life of Chuck, kicked off filming in the Mobile area on October 30th. Stay tuned for more updates!

The star-studded cast of The Life of Chuck

In May, Deadline revealed that the project would be helmed by Mike Flanagan, acclaimed for directing works like Doctor Sleep and The Haunting of Hill House.

The Life of Chuck adds to the list of Stephen King’s stories making their way to the big screen, joining the esteemed company of adaptations like Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption, and Carrie. The narrative unfolds the life of Charles “Chuck” Krantz, in reverse, starting with his demise and concluding with his formative years in a rumored haunted house.

Excitingly, two prominent stars have been announced: Tom Hiddleston, renowned for portraying Loki in the Thor series, will take on the role of Chuck, while Mark Hamill, famed as Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars movies, joins as Albie.
